Painting by Karina De Beers |
In the late 1990's, Karina De Beers spent much time in Venice Beach, California. She became friends with many legendary Dogtown skaters and became fond of their stories.
Karina made this painting of the area where the Venice Dogtown skaters used to skate in the 1970's and 1980's. Since she painted this, the area has been re-developed by the city of Los Angeles.

The painting was featured at a Venice art collector's home and was sold to a skateboard culture magazine publisher for a undisclosed sum.
